Amala institute of medical Science is a multi-speciality hospital with a capacity of 1000 beds consists of all major departments including 24 hours Accident & Emergency service. In addition, Amala institute consists of a large intensive care unit, cardiology unit, oncology department, neonatal intensive care Unit, medical ward, gynaecology ward, paediatric ward and an Operation theatre. Department of Radiology in Amala have all advanced imaging equipments such as CT, MRI, fluoroscopy and X-ray. Furthermore, diagnostic radiographers have an opportunity to work in all these departments in a rotation basis.

Position: Diagnostic Radiographer X-Ray/CT/MRI
Key Responsibilities: COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY
Prepare, screen, position and take informed verbal consent from the patients.
Patient counselling and proper immobilization of part to be imaged thereby reducing multiple exposures.
Perform all types of Scans (Head, Thorax, Abdomen, Spine and Extremities).
Perform Dynamic Angiograms (Renal, Carotids, Cerebral, Pulmonary, Peripheral, Coronary).
Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring, CT Perfusion (Brain & Abdomen).
Assist CT Guided Biopsies, FNAC and Aspirations.
Perform CT guided Myelograms.
Handle multi trauma patients with multiple scans.
Provide appropriate radiation protection and shielding.
Guide junior technicians and technologists in performing complicated procedures like Angiography and Interventional procedures.
Perform all kind of 3D Works at Advantage Work stations (ADW 4.3, 4.4, 4.5)
Recognition of Image Artifacts& Rectification.
Image documentation and Machine Maintenance.
Conduct Presentations and teaching sessions for medical and paramedical degree students on Diagnostic Radiology, Basic Techniques and Basic Imaging Physics.

Epsiloane Diagnostic Centre is a private imaging centre. Patients with trauma and referrals from other hospitals/ doctors present to this centre for diagnostic imaging. About 50 to 60 patients are seen on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities: X-ray
Patient preparation, informed consent and Imaging documentation.
Emergency management of patients.
Patient counselling and proper immobilization of part to be imaged thereby reducing multiple exposures.
Providing appropriate radiation protection and shielding.

RADIOGRAPHIC TECHNIQUE CR/DR
