Manoj Chiba has been appointed as the new Operations Director at City Year South Africa as of beginning January 2010.

Manoj Chiba was working as the CEO BioRecord Healthcare Solutions (PTY) Limited, until the end of December 2009. Before this he worked as the General Manager of A.M Trading Company in 2000. He joined the Reproductive Health and HIV Research Unit (RHRU) in 2007 and has played a key role in spearheading projects to promote and market the organisation and research and introduce innovations to support the overall objectives of the organisation.

Manoj Chiba holds an undergraduate and post-graduate science degree’s from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a member of the Royal Society of South Africa, the Golden Key international honours society and the Anatomical Society of South Africa.

Upon joining BioRecord Healthcare Solutions at the end of 2008 as CEO and brought about a complete overhaul of the company to optimise functions including diversification within the Health industry; which was made possible with knowledge and previous experience in business policy, systems and procedures; corporate governance; human resources; fundraising; financial management and administration; procurement; leadership of teams; opportunity identification and development, and project management.

Manoj has acquired skills in Corporate; NGO/NPO and academic environments and have successfully drawn on his experience from these sectors.
He has the passion and energy, and believes in a strong work-ethic. The positions he held are a testament and portrayal of his dynamism.
