Myself Manjeet Kaur Bhatia. I am working with Sahitya Akademi, a Govt. of India organization, for the last 30 years firstly as Proof Reader, as Editorial Assistant, Publication Assistant, Assistant Editor and presently as programme Officer looking after the publication (editorial and book production) & Programmes of the Akademi. I am also a creative writer, translator (English, Hindi Punjabi and vice versa) and freelance journalist. I have written 30 short stories (One short story collection titled Chehre), translated 25 books and have written more than 1500 articles on different topics in leading English, Hindi and Punjabi newspapers and Magazines. I have also interviewed eminent peronalities like politicians, authors, film stars and film makers.
I have been writing short stories, articles, covering social and cultural events of the city and interviewing eminent personalities for leading megazines and newspapers.

I joined Sahitya Akademi as Proof Reader cum General Assistant, I worked here as Editorial Assistant, Sampadan Sahayak and Programme officer, have handled independently 64 pages bi-monthly Hindi and English newsletter for more than five years. Have brought more than 50 books.
