EY.COM is the firm's internet-presence website accessible by all users. EYOnline is an authenticated portal available to E&Y's clients. Users are registered to the site and access is authenticated through a user name/password combination.

The end-state for the e-channel unification project is a single, unified external e-channel platform on which multiple layers will be built, providing various online experiences for anonymous, identified/profiled, and authenticated users. Through each layer of the online user experience, greater personalization and an enhanced EY-end user relationship will be provided. The external online experience will be presented through a single site in comparison to the current model of one global ey.com site, individual country ey.com sites and the Ernst & Young Online (EYO) extranet site.

The unified eChannel portal is a content-driven portal with content produced by a global team of E&Y authors. The project is divided into multiple phases. Phase 1 of the project will focus on providing an anonymous user experience. Subsequent phases of the project will provide capabilities to identify users, allow self-registration, support existing E&Y registered users with secure content and tools. eChannel Unification Technology Platform
