 3G Data Performance Testing, Radio Performance, Device Aggression, UMTS/HSPA functional.
 LTE SON ANR Testing, DATA performance, User experience and Protocol Testing on CMW500 and Anritsu ME7834.

Project 2 : Device protocol Testing (April 2010 to till Date)
Technology : GSM, WCDMA

The project involves the lab and field testing of Qualcomm, Intel, Marvel, Mediatek and AMlogic chipset based 3G devices for OEMs/ODMs/operators or chipset vendors.

Roles and Responsibilities: Project Manager

 Project management, people / customer management, Testing and QA solutions to OEMs, ODMs and Network Operators.
 Manage and coordinate with different parties involved in the project including internal cross function teams, customers, partners and vendors to ensure smooth communication, cooperation and progress which leads to project success .
 To create the test plan for OEM/ODM/Operators based on customer requirements.
 Protocol testing of GSM and WCDMA HSDPA, HSUPA and LTE devices.
 Testing of GSM/ 3G platform boards/Handsets/data dongles on different lab simulators like Anite SAS, Anite 9000, R&S CMU 500, Spirent 8100, Anritsu 8480C etc.
 Protocol conformance, RF conformance, SIM USIM conformance, Data performance testing
 Analyzing the system/chipset logs for failed test cases prior reporting to client. Expertise in Qualcomm chipsets testing, NV item, AT commands etc.

Project 2 : AT&T Device Testing (India)

The main objective of this project is to share the work load of AT&T (USA) by testing the GSM/GPRS/WCDMA/HSPA/HSDPA/HSUPA and LTE devices of different vendors OEM offshore in I NDIA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead Engineer:

 Supporting all the OEMs/OEMs (handset/data card & module) for development and AT&T certification.
 Responsible for lab testing bases on AT&T 10776 test plan. Testing on Lab equipments like Anite SAS4, R&S TS8955GW, GS8800, R&S CRTUW, IT3 Simfony and spirent tools, Spirent ULTS and 8100.
 Exposure to air interface, network signaling and (L2, Layer 3 protocols of the UE / mobile side) of GSM and WCDMA.
 Proficiency in AT Commands for GSM, UMTS, WCDMA, and LTE.
 Physical layer protocol testing (L1) and Issue Analysis.
 Log Analysis and Root cause Finding, Interacting with R&D Team
 Expert in Mobile Logging tool i.e. IT3, Qualcomm QXDM, QPST, ACAT etc.
 Analysis of logs and debugging to the lowest level in the protocol stack implementation, Finding root cause.
 Knowledge of test specifications such as 3GPP TS 51.010, TS 34.121, TS 34.123, TS 31.12, TS 36.563etc.

• Processes and KPI monitoring: Process level implementation and review; Organized and focused approach in controlling & improement of KPI’s like congestion, drops, Handovers etc. & BSS related problems and issues for improvements of services.
• Optimizing the Radio Network based on Statistical Parameters i.e. Grade of Service
• Report Preparation of Congestion Report for Signalling (SDCCH), Traffic Channel (TCH) to Highlight Congested Cells, thereby planning strategies for Carrier Addition, Expansion.
• Working on Net doctor and Net report builder tools for report generation required for optimizing the network.

WCDMA LTE Field Testing

Field Testing: WCDMA and LTE Device Field testing.
 Live network testing/IOT of Single SIM/ Dual SIM devices 3G device on GSM and WCDMA Networks. Performance testing, Regression testing, and Validation testing.
Network selection, IRAT Handover, Cell reselection, Inter MSC/RNC HO Testing,
 Very good knowledge of Qualcomm chipsets and tools like QXDM, QPST, QCAT. Good knowledge of NV items, AT commands. Found a lot of chipset related issue for Qualcomm chipset and helped the customer to fix the issues.

Scope of Work:

• Performance monitoring: QoS and RAN KPI monitoring for UMTS and HSPDA.
• Neighbor Planning: Intra frequency, Inter frequency and Inter technology neighbors planning.
• Setting the specific RF parameters for the site to be integrated: RNC Id, WBTS Id, LCR Id, LAC, RAC, CId, UARFCN frequency, scrambling code, T cell and Neighbors.
• Parameters optimization for UMTS and HSDPA.
• Multi-carriers traffic and Multi-carriers selection / re–selection, Handover, traffic load control parameters check.
• Alarms monitoring: To monitor the recurrent alarms and active alarms at Cell level and RNC Level.
