Corrosion Engineer

October 1998 - December 2007


• Effectively managed the complete Cathodic Protection Engineering Operations including design engineering, installation supervision, testing & commissioning in Corrosion Engineering
• Steered the planning, coordination, testing & report preparation for annual CP system monitoring and maintenance jobs
• Conducted special CP surveys such as Pearson, CAT, DCVG, CIPL, Coating Resistance Test, AC / DC Interference Test, Anode Bed Performance Evaluation Test, etc.
• Successfully introduced DCVG Survey for the first time in the company
• Led plans for protecting the CAT Survey PCM transmitter against high voltages induced in the pipelines
• Actively involved in organising and conducting CIPS/DCVG surveys, for offshore pipelines as well as onshore pipelines
• Deftly carried out inspection & coordination of inspection on Cathodic Protection installations for SSS Electricals
• Contributed significantly towards:
o Managing indigenization of the spare parts
o Effecting zero based stores inventory and hence reduction in spares inventory
