I qualified as a City of London Guide in 1988 and conducted my own walking tours around the financial heart of the capital. From 2000 to 2002 I worked for the Original Tour. During this period I studied for the Blue Badge which I obtained in 2003. Since then I have conducted panoramic tours around London and to Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, Stratford and other destinations within a day's journey of London.

Freelance Tourist Guide
My self employment consisted largely of delivering a running commentary on places of interest while conducting coach tours across England, and guided walks at destinations such as Oxford, Stratford on Avon, Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor, etc.
Central School of Counselling and Therapy
I worked as an administrator at the Central School of Counselling and Therapy and, although I never took one of their courses, I absorbed a great deal of information about the various forms of counselling. I broadened my understanding of psychology and its application to effective personal communication.

This university is now called London Metropolitan. When I entered, it was still the Polytechnic of North London. I studied Classical Civilisation and received a BA Hons degree. During my final year, I was Vice-President of the Students' Union.
Administrator/ Trainer 'Trafalgar Square Information Project
This project was set up by Sir Richard Branson to provide visitors to tourists and other visitors to London and to provide work experience for young people seeking employment in the Tourist Industry. During my time as Administrator, I delivered the a formal training in Tourism at 'City and Guilds' Level.
I have been a self-employed Tourist Guide (Blue-Badge trained) since 2003. This training involves a comprehensive knowledge of British history, culture and traditions together with an in-depth knowledge of important sites such as City of London, Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, British Museum, Stonehenge, Stratford on Avon, Bath, Oxford etc.
