Khan - Pythonista/Djangonaut - Bangladesh

Mafinar Khan

Familiar with Python since 2001 and doing all my exploratory programming and prototyping with it ever since. Occasional departure to Ruby and Groovy and toying with Haskell and Erlang honed my Python skills even sharper. Since 2009, moved Python up from hobbyist level to that of professional when I made my organization ditch PHP altogether in favor of Python. I also trained a few people here and now.

I am absolutely intrigued with Django ever since knowing it. I have the habit of extending it to my liking whenever I do not find a feature in Django that is available in others. I mostly do third party app development here for friends and family now. But I did 3 asset tracking, 2 vehicle tracking, 1 social networking, 1 accounting, and 1 HR application in Django. Did I mention the CRUD engine that I'm working on right now that spits out full blown Python/Django code for you and is pretty granular if you want it be? Coming Soon at a Github near you!

An idea we were toying with at Monico Technology got its maiden implementation last year. Think of an application that does what most others do, but with a location to it. Still being worked on.

Monico Maps

Mostly the designing, caching, and slippy map part of it. Also responsible for categorization of points at lower level database.

Finder Vehicle Tracking System

The vehicle tracking application of Monico Technologies and a VTS engine in general. It incorporates Monico Map and its own spatial database to accommodate millions of rows of location information.
