During the period 3-11 November 2011 I was sent to Malaysia and Australia to attend a workshop on International Capacity Building on Good Governance. I am the chairperson of the Mphahlele Circuit Methodist Church, Local Organizing Committee for 2015 YMG Convention. This Convention is going to be hosted by the Emmanuel Society Lebowakgomo.


I started my Labour involvement in 1990 when we started a Union which was called NOTRAPSU. I was elected as a Shop steward; I served in the executive committee which was the main body for the formation of the union's legislation. We drafted the union's constitution and the Agreement which was duely signed by both the union and the former Government as the Employer. In 1996 I joined the PSA and at the same year's AGM held at Mimosa club in Polokwane, I was elected Chairperson of the Capricorn branch formally known as the Northern Transversal Branch. I have been in that position until 2003 when the branches where restructures.

National Public Service Job Summit

From January 2001

which was held at the University of the North. The Summit was officially opened by the then Minister for Public Service and Administration Me. Geraldine Frazer Moleketi. I served in the working group which was tasked to produce a job summit paper which was finalized and signed by the unions and the state as the employer on the last day of the summit.

I attended many hearings acting mainly as a witness or the Employer Repetitive in the department and at the CCMA. Cases of the members of the Union I only attended them in the other departments. I attended training courses concerning labour issues and the negotiation with the Employer in different levels representing the union. I attended a workshop on how to conduct disciplinary enquiries.

On the 17/09/2001 I was nominated as a Board member of the PSA. The nomination took place in the Congress which was held at the Holiday Inn Pretoria. On the 12 September 2005 I became re-elected as a members of the board. The board is the highest decision making body of the PSA. Its main task is to oversee the implementation of the Statute of the PSA. During the period September 2008 I was elected vice President of the PSA. I was re-elected to the Board of directors during the AGM which was held on the 21-22 September 2009 at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria. I served on the PSA for uninterrupted twelve years that is from 17th September 2001 to 16th September 2013. I became the vice President of the PSA twice during the twelve years of my leadership in the union.

Sekhukhune District, Department of Agriculture

November 1999 - February 2000

During the period November 1999 to February 2000 I trained under MSG and successfully completed a Management Programme and attained a satisfactory level of competency. During February - March 2000 I completed training on Management trainers Programme. During December 2002 I trained as a Performance Management System champion. I am at present the overseer of this system in the Sekhukhune District, Department of Agriculture. The programme is best implemented in the district.

During the period 25 - 27 March 2000 I attended a Labour Relations workshop on grievance procedure at The Ranch Hotel in Polokwane and obtained a SAMDI certificate.

I completed a Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences in 1996, at the then University on the North (UNIN). I also completed a Masters degree in September 2009. My topic for my thesis was "AN EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL FOR SUPERVISORS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, SEKHUKHUNE DISTRICT. LIMPOPO PROVINCE". I enrolled for this degree in 2006 and I was able to submit the final dissertation for examination in September 2008. My supervisor for this senior degree was Professor Thornhill from the University of Pretoria. Professor Thornhill is a renowned author of Public Administration literature. A copy of my dissertation is available for perusal only on request and will only be handed to trusted individuals. My dissertation is also available on Google for perusal.


At high school I was elected Chief Prefect the position which I held from grate 09 till grade 12. I was also the captain and coach of the Softball squad at high school. During my undergrad at the then Turfloop University I was elected class reps for Political Science, Public Administration, interpretation of statutes classes. During that period I was able to organise a trip to the inauguration of our first democratic President Nelson Mandela. thereafter transferred to Personnel where I was translated to the rank of Senior Personnel Practitioner in July 1997. During August 1998 I was appointed to the post of Assistant Director Corporate services in Sekhukhune. This post served as the overall administrative head of the district.

Board of Directors


When the post of the President was to be filled there was a tie which resulted in the vice becoming the President whiles the procedure to break the tie was to be followed. I have served in the PSA Board of Directors since September 2001 to September 2013. I was re-elected to the Board of Directors during the AGM which was held from the 21st-22nd September 2009 at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria.

I have been appointed Caretaker Manager for Sekhukhune district since December 2008 to November 2009. The duties and responsibilities attached to this post are equivalent to that of a Senior Manager. During the time when districts were headed by the Senior Managers I used to act as Senior Manager and even now when the Senior Manager had to be absent she delegate me to act on her behalf.

During 1996 I was deployed to Waterberg district to go and establish a newly born region. This region was called Western Region which was later changed to Waterberg District. My tasks were to open new files for staff and also to compile the staff establishment. I organized office space for the region in town. When I was transferred there all the staff was accommodated in the old offices in Mahwelereng Township.
Besides having a vast knowledge of the state prescripts I also acquired good interpersonal and negotiation skills. Good interpretation skills, good leadership and best managerial skills. I promote, participative and also practice an open door management style of leadership. I am proactive and do not prefer to deal with the problem than to deal with symptoms before the real problem surfaces. I have managed people for my entire service in the Public Service. I possess sound communication skills. I am computer literate and also able to access internet. I am a strategist and also able to handle tough situations without assistance.
