As the manager of the lodge I was responsible for the overall running of the establishment; ensuring that guests enjoy their stay and that all staff work together as an effective team. Responsible for health and safety, fire and food hygiene. Taking clients on fishing and Photographic Safaris and ensuring all company standards are being adhered to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Some of my main priorities were to make a special point of meeting all guests not just VIP's, recruiting and training staff; controlling the finances; planning and overseeing improvements; reporting to head office; purchasing and stock control; marketing and sales; and maintenance of vehicles, boats, fishing equipment as well as dealing with complaints.
