* Trained candidates (factory employees) in our quality program, so the suppliers could be held accountable for their own quality.
* Nike as a customer does not take responsibility on inspecting goods that should be guaranteed by the manufacturer. Focus is placed in showing the supplier what the expectations are in terms of product specifications and inspection methods, so they can do the same. This is termed "correlation".
* Nike does not manufacture but buys from the factories if the quality of their product is good. Nike helps the manufacturer to develop their own internal quality control, within the correlation parameters.
* Nike needs to keep millions of units under control, within specifications of weight, measurements, composition, construction, stitching, cleanliness, embellishment, packing, etc.
