-cycle monitoring-seeing patients in the morning; answering questions regarding their cycle while reviewing their ultrasound results for the day or ultrasound/blood work from previous day; collect and record ultrasound and blood work results; prepare procedure rooms and sperm samples for intrauterine insemination; autoclaving; calling patients with doctor orders; returning phone calls; provide patient education, staff training and orientation; paper documentation; BabySentry and Accuro.
-OR Circulating Nurse- monitoring patients during ovum retrieval- blood pressure, O2 saturation, administering anesthesia as per M.D. order and supervision; pass tubes to the lab; give Toradol IM if need it.
-OR Scrub Nurse for ovum pick up, embryo transfers, fluid/cyst/sperm aspiration; prepare sets for procedures; sterilization; order medication equipment and supplies.
-Admission and Discharge Nurse- take vital signs, perform venipuncture, treat and record symptoms if patient has any adverse reaction i.e. nausea and vomiting.
-IVF Nurse- conduct IVF meetings with IVF patients (after orientation) to coordinate medication plan, consent form, teachings and treatment plan; seeing patients in the morning post ultrasound results; calling them with doctors' orders and returning phone calls; responsible for the "IVF book- PGS/PGD"; monitoring all IVF activities in outside clinics as providing information and guidance to the nurses in outside clinics.
