Harmony gold Mining took over R E G M. During this time I was in charge of Lindum Gold Plant. Reporting to Mr. Dario Clemente. We were treating opencast mine ore and waste dump material. Lindum Plant were running well and cost affective we closed the Smelt house and started sending all loaded carbon to Cooke plant. Doornkop Plant started increasing their open cast mining material and due to their higher monthly tonnage Lindum could not compete with their Rand per ton, therefore it was no longer viable to run Lindum Plant. Lindum Plant slimes dam were also over loaded and became a Safety risk. Lindum was closed down. While busy with the cleanup of Lindum Plant Dario Clemente sent me to Kalgold to assist with problems they had high residues and problems with tonnage throughput. Also recovered a large amount of contaminated carbon with a group of my Lindum Personnel.
From Kalgold I returned to Cooke Plant as Unit Leader in charge of all Plant personnel and running the Thickener Leach cip and smelt house section I made a good impact on improved production performance and reduce cost r/t.

We were only Milling and treating sand and slime at that stage.
