Throughout her career in education and school administration, Dr. Louise Losos has focused on the student experience. As principal of Clayton High School in St. Louis, Missouri, she attended to students’ well-being and promoted a culture of acceptance and respect. Dr. Louise Losos also furthered academic improvements as leader of the school's professional development committee as well as through ongoing process for accreditation through the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI).
In her final year of leadership at Clayton High School, Dr. Louise Losos led a student body with a 100 percent graduation rate and a postsecondary enrollment rate of over 95 percent. Under her direction, more students at Clayton High earned recognition as National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists than any other school in Missouri. Further, under Dr. Louise Losos's direction, according to Newsweek Clayton High School was recognized as among the top 100 public high schools in the country, and the number 1 school in the state of Missouri. Meanwhile, students in minority populations improved their academic scores, and all demographics increased ACT test scores.
An experienced educator as well as an administrator, Dr. Louise Losos is certified as a social studies teacher, a principal, and a superintendent. She served as an assistant principal and a classroom teacher before becoming a high school principal. Now applying her expertise in curriculum development, she serves the student body and staff of Missouri's Confluence Academy Schools.
