I have painted since my younger years and only in the past year I decided to give it a go and found how much I love it and also photography and music. I blend them all into one awesome experience of what it is to live through all I have to be where I am now. I have sold paintings and have some more in the works to be sold, but got side tracked working all summer for a friend and soon it will end and I can get back to what i am most passionate about and that is painting because it's hand and mind together as one.
I would love to be known for my painting and photography and never forgotten for my music and my soul and spirit while I lived free to do what one must do when God has given me these talents. It's time to use them as I am nearing 50 in a few weeks!!!

Lorri's Loft of Painted memoriesJanuary 2011 - July 2011
I am a photographer and I also paint landscapes from peoples own photos of their favorite places they have been. I have painted for alot of years on wood, porcelain, ceramics and doors, and began painting on canvas only last year, using acrylics/water color and other, and have been selling my art since January 2011. I am hoping to one day make this my retirement work ,but I also am one of 4 who owns our own family flagstone quarry.Beautiful white stone that is amazing when the sun makes it whiter and it is smooth and flat and makes great patio stone and or other. We sell to many companies and also a local ski resort contract this year which is something I would love to see once they have finished the work out there. I will post more in my profile once I have time.
Speiran's QuarriesJune 2009 - Present
Our family owns a flagstone quarry that is cleared by the ministry. We have 250 acres and only 25 of that is being used at the moment because there is no sense expanding when we can still dig down rather than out.
These rocks are used for patios, steps, waterfall/ponds and decorations in gardens etc. They can be used for walls around a home. One man did the entire outside of his homes walls in our flagstone and it truly looks awesome.
We have some of the most beautiful white rock I have ever seen along with brown and grey and blue stone too.

Bits and bites of work I have done and pics I have taken
August 5th 2001 posting........These are paintings I did for gifts for my daughters last Christmas. The one of the bridge is where the Two Saults meet. Sault Ste. Marie Canada and Sault Michigan. My brother took the picture while fishing at dusk and because my youngest still lives there, I did this one for her. The oldest named a rock island " Lyndsay's Island " and this photo reminded me of it so this was her gift. The latest painting I am doing is of Osler Lake near Toronto/Orillia area. The other paintings are ones I did years ago and some from now. A mix of all I have done and am doing with both photography and painting.
last projects I sold
A picture of my best friends two sons on a rock(the oldest died in 2006) that I did for her daughter and the Bluenose I did for a man from Newbruinswick and sold this one to him. I am working on getting a bunch done to sell at the park this summer of lake scenes and landscapes which are my favorite to paint.
Fall in Southern Ontario
I am working on a fall lake scene for my Mom who when we moved west near Manitoba, had missed the fall colors of southern Ontario so this is my Mother's Day gift for her.
previous work I have done
the old wringer washer I found in the bush in Lacombe Alberta and painted a mountain scene only I had to leave it behind when I moved back to Ontario. I also painted a cpl doors on the back porch that were done on press board type wood. I basically paint on anything really, but am enjoying doing them on canvas because the texture is different all together
Algonquin in the mist
I took a picture of the lake while driving by it in the car and decided it was an amazing picture to try and paint. Next I will do it on canvas
At the moment I am painting the Bluenose Schooner for a Ford worker in Hamilton Ont. who's from the east coast. I also did each of my daughters one for a x-mas gift of something they love as shown here. The Sunset was taken by my brother of the Twin Sault bridge at sunset while he was fishing under the bridge(ssmarie michigan and sault ont). The second is called Lyndsay's Island as my oldest named it after herself and it is on Lake of the woods in Kenora Ontario.
