Actor - Role Play for Leadership Training
Ecstasis Consulting LLC
October 2009 - October 2009
Cisco Systems regularly brings in a small number of actors to use improvisational skills with business managers to help improve their communication and emotional intelligence skills. It is a twice-a-year, day-long exercise in which the actors push the leaders to their growing edge, and subsequently provide educational feedback. The leaders go on to continue their training for a number of days without the actors, and a lot of the work that they do reflects back on what they learn on that role play day.
Speaker - Interview & Resume Skills

I educated older students - 30 and up - about interview and resume skills to help with a successful job hunt.
H.R. Coordinator & Jr. Recruiter
April 2005 - October 2007
I handled the recruiting coordinating and recruiting for Chiron Corporation during its change in ownership to Novartis Corporation. I was the liaison between the Sr. V.P. Hiring Managers, and was singled out for praise by the one with the most clout: without my help, she said, her department would not have survived.
I also sourced, did background checks, interviewed, trained in interviewing techniques, created new forms, effected travel planning, and more. That is my strength: handling what the company needs.

Sole H.R. Coordinator and Jr. Recruiter for multi-million American division of BioPharma during 8 months of change of ownership from Chiron to Novartis. Owner / Designer
January 1981 - January 2011
I am an artist who licenses her art for use on products like mugs, aprons, etc.
As an online introduction to who I am as a Breakout Self-Expression Speaker and Coach, I recently did my first Conference Call and Presentation.
One of the things that I spoke about that seems to have made the biggest splash is the concept of "From Strength to Strength". If you have ever struggled against the things, the beliefs, the feelings that you feel are holding you back (and who hasn't?!), the revolutionary idea of acknowledging those things but not focusing on them - and the ways to not focus on them - is one that holds a great deal of appeal.
Learning to focus on our strengths, and first of course identifying them (!), is a profound step in being a powerful and comfortable presence in one's own world, whether that is face-to-face with one other person, or is on a stage in front of hundreds of people!
I want you to have that information, and so much more, as an introduction to who I am and what I do, so please head over to my website and sign up! The Presentation, I am giving you right here, but if you want to know what it sounds like to speak with confidence, and you want the details to this visual presentation, you'll want to come over to www.LoriKirstein.com and sign up.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Be well, and be you! There's nothing more powerful than authenticity.
