Registered Care Manager
I currently work at Plan Care a domiciliary care provider, as a registered manager with 4years experiences working on contract with the adult social care department of London Borough of Brent. The Company provide care service for the elderly, dementia clients, drug & alcohol related dependency, physical disability, learning disability, mental health and the under 65’s.
As Registered Manager. I contribute to the work of the organisation by overseeing that staff, work within the CQC Standards, Government and Social Services guidelines, company policies and procedures and contractual framework. On many occasions, I represent the Organisation at meetings, presentations, including seminars and I am the responsible person for the branch responsibilities. I work very well on my own and as a team with my line manager who is the Area Manager for my region, providing support to vulnerable service users (Elderly & others) in partnership with Adult Social Care.
I have also previous experience as a Care coordinator at Capital Carers Social Care and NVQ Assessor with BOCK Consultancy and Personnel Development. My experience has been working with the elderly in their own homes which included services to sheltered housing. I have an understanding of the elderly not just through experience but i have elderly parents and constantly ensure i manage to provide a service for others, whilst measuring the standards i would afford my own parents. I understand the importance of enablement to allow vulnerable people manage their own independence both in daily living and in making decision and having choices.
At Plan Care my leadership, liaison and administrative skills were very much in evidence by the various posts that I held, having risen through the ranks from care assistant, through various companies to my current post. As Registered Manager, I have a good eye for detail and I am very committed to a high standard of work.
