Typeset "Golden Years of Tasmania"

Mr David Hopkins, acclaimed artist and author in Devonport, required a typesetter for his historical book, "The Golden Years of Tasmania". I applied for the position and was awarded it. This was before computers, so I used a photographic typesetter, called the Compugraphic, which required photographic paper, and the various fonts on negative film strips to be inserted. After the text was completed, this paper had to be removed from the hatch and developed in a darkroom before wax was applied so the paragraphs could be manually stuck in place!

Recipes For A Poem

Shirley Randles, a local well-known author, wanted to produce a collection of poems and she required some illustrations, mostly black and white for the inside pages, but also a full-colour piece for the front cover. I was happy to oblige!
