My name is Lizanne Mentoor, I'm a female boilermaker who qualified in Feb 2011 and do know I have to proof myself on the job.I do love what I do and excited to learn from my job everyday. I'm an eager learner and feed of information and learning new things.
I can read and write from drawings. I have knowledge in pipework and eager to learn more as I do not have much experience in it. I have Stainless steel (1mm-16mm) experience (including MIG and TIG) welding as well as Mild Steel (1.6mm-25mm) experience (including MIG and TIG). I have an extensive knowledge of various hand and power tools including machines and the strength to handle/work with them.
I enjoy technical activities and capable of working independently as well as in a team. I know my Health and Safety Rules and physically fit. I have good hand-eye co-ordination.
I am also willing to relocate anywhere required.

Collect drawings for the job of the day
Take (recheck) sizes of tank to ensure it’s
correct as drawing indicates.
Check manhole, sumps, flanges and spillbox sizes to see if it’s correct
Marking off/placing manhole, sprayballs and sumps on tank
Cut holes for manholes, sprayballs and sumps with inverter plasma cutter
Fitting manholes, sprayballs and sumps to measurements on drawing
If necessary and tank might have dented due to heat of plasma cutter, dress tank where needed before fitting manholes, sprayballs, sumps or spillboxes with mallet.
Make sure of spillbox measurements before cutting notches, take size of tank, marking it of on the spillboxes.

Teaching new trainees, showing them the basics of the job.
Cutting holes inside the bafffels
Doing the cut-outs in baffles
Check work, clean (grinding of any rough edges, or buff with polymop) before signing and sending it off to next station.
