Lisa Tuttle is an artist and arts administrator living in Atlanta. Her work can best be described as conceptual, interdisciplinary and multi-media. As public art projects, she has completed temporary works for Art on the Beltline, Art in Freedom Park and “Shedspace”. In 2006, she exhibited “Fence”, a public work in remembrance of the 1906 Atlanta Race Riot on the grounds of Agnes Scott College. In 2009, she received a Soros Foundation/Open Society Documentary Photography grant to undertake a year-long public art project “The NPU-V Photovoice Project: Taking It to the Streets” in collaboration with a grassroots advocacy group dedicated to eliminating vacant properties in several Southeast Atlanta neighborhoods. In 2007, she completed a permanent commission for the City of Atlanta entitled “The NPU-V Seedling Project”, a collective community portrait installed in the lobby of the Dunbar Neighborhood Center.

She is represented by Sandler Hudson Gallery, and her studio is located at the Arts Exchange. She has received numerous awards as an artist - two Southern Arts Federation/NEA Regional Fellowships for Visual Artists– in 1991 for Sculpture, and in 1995 for Photography. In 2003, she received a travel fellowship from the King Baudouin Foundation – U.S. In 2002, she completed an artist residency at Caversham Press in South Africa. She is the recipient of the 1999 Atlanta Mayor’s Fellowship in the Arts Award in Visual Arts. In addition, she has received grants for artist projects from Art Matters, Inc., NY; the Georgia Council for the Arts, the Fulton County Arts Council and the Bureau of Cultural Affairs – City of Atlanta. . She has been a curator, gallery director and arts administrator for almost 30 years. She is also a founding board member of the Metropolitan Public Art Coalition, and served two terms on the City of Atlanta Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC), appointed by Mayor Franklin.
