My responsibilities are including, running the store in the abscence of the manager, starting up the tills in the morning, safe checks, float checks, email and system updates, conference calls with the District manager, full store moves in season changes with the team, updating of rotas and changes, performance reports of other team members, working closely with our customers making sure all their needs are met and that they leave happier than when they arrive and making sure the general running of the shop flows without any problems and all staff are fully briefed for the day and happy in their work.

My responsibilties included running the department in the absence of the manager, setting the department up for start of trade in the mornings which includes starting all machinery, temperature checks throughout the department, setting up front of house with fresh products, setting up back of house making sure all food is prepared and ready for start of trade and that all areas are clean and tidy. I am responsible for ordering of products, rota changes, helping other colleagues with the daily running of the department, serving customers whether that be taking their orders at the till, making different coffees, cooking or serving. I work closely with other departments too as sometimes we will need to help out if they have a shortage of colleagues or we are extremely busy.
