For those who know me well, I probably don't need to list my skill set in the travel industry. I've been an agent, manager, or agency owner for my entire working career. The past two years has been in a different capacity, however - I'm a supplier of negotiated and net international airline reservations. We supply bulk (net) fares to retail agencies, groups, cruise lines and tour operators. It's been an educational experience, and has given me extensive knowledge regarding international air travel, destinations, and also a second GDS system, SABRE Red. I'm currently working in this capacity full time, but unfortunately the position doesn't allow me to work remotely or service the clients I have had for years.

Front line reservations in a fast paced, demanding environment. Requires maximum efficiency and time management to ensure that the best pricing is obtained for clients and maximum profitability for the company. My position is individual air and land arrangements in various international destinations. We specialize in Israel and the Middle East, but also offer negotiated rates to Western European and other trans-Atlantic destinations. I also book air for retail travel agents across the U.S.A. The GDS system used is SABRE, and I've become fairly adept with the platform when used for airlines reservations, pricing itineraries and general daily use. My comfort level on SABRE is considerably lower than it is on Apollo, which I used for over 30 years to book air, car, hotels, group travel, and vacation and cruise packages. Fare construction and storing of both published, commission earning fares as well as net, negotiated fares in partnership with Star Alliance (United Airlines & partners), Sky Team (Delta and partners), US Airways and El Al. Elite offers fares below those published by the carriers directly, online or elsewhere and the customer base is throughout the United States. Speed and sales are the major focus, with customer service a far second. This has been difficult for me, as my own agency was built on relationships and referrals. There is unfortunately no VPN network provided that would enable me to provide service to non-international clientele or existing clientele
