Not For Profit

I am currently employed as a Hippy Co-ordinator with Great Potentials Foundation a not-for profit organisation aimed at nuturing children and families through education to break the cycle of poverty in economically or disadvantaged families.

Work History

Parent Programme Manager and Cool Schools Trainer

NZ Peace Foundation

I am working part-time as Parent Programme Manager and trainer. I work in schools throughout Auckland teaching mediation and conflict management skills.
I have also facilitated 12-15 hour trainings to groups of parents, grandparents, caregivers and counsellors throughout Auckland. The Peaceful Family Communication programme is based on the internationally recognised work of Dr Richard Bolstad and Dr T Gordon's work in Parent and Teacher Effectiveness Training. In my role as trainer I have seen significant changes in the lives of many parents and their families and it is extremely rewarding and life-changing work.

NZ Trauma Recovery Team

February 2010 - December 2010

( December - February 2010

Following the September tsunami in Samoa a group of friends and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) colleagues formed the NZ Trauma recovery team -see website for further information). We are a volunteer organisation aimed at assisting Samoan health workers and victims. Together we planned and fundraised for a team of seven people including Dr Richard Bolstad to deliver a 3 day free training in February for 40 health workers, counsellors, police and first response teams. We are now a registered charitable trust and have been more recently assisting people with PTSD from the Christchurch earthquake.
