I am a patient and organized instructor. I strive to teach everyone to the best of my ability, and I do not hesitate to give students proper materials so that they may be successful when trying newly learned techniques on their own.
The same goes for each piece that I make, I do not like to sell anything that doesn't pass my inspection. I do not want to make so many of the same types of items, I find that there is enough of that in the mall and when someone looks at something hand made by me they will see the uniqueness each item has.
Classes are available privately, small groups in my studio, or larger groups at a destination you may have available.
I teach the art of making hand felted hats, these techniques give the student a good grasp on how to make their own hand made hat. I also teach how to make lovely silk and wool scarves and shawls.

Fiber Artist and designer
Fabulous Disaster Designs
I named my business Fabulous Disaster Designs, when it seems like a disaster it always turns out fabulous.
I love what I do and it shows in my pieces I create as well as my teaching abilities.
I am mostly self taught, I love to continue to share and learn more about fiber and it's ability to become something wonderful to wear.
I have been part of several craft fairs, I sell by word of mouth, and I have been part of an amazing event called Fiber Arts Fiesta, this one happens every other year in Abq, NM.
I strive to make pieces that are completely unique, it allows the customer to feel a bit more special when they stand out wearing something no one else will have.
These are some of the things I have created over the last few years. It is a taste of what I can teach any student that wants to learn the art of felting. All the scarves and ponchos are made with hand dyed(by me) silks and merino wool. The hats are made from various fibers. Each work is hand made, all are unique in their own way, and all are made with love.
Teaching is something I am quite passionate about, each student leaves a class with a good grasp and clear instructions on how to make their own lovely wearable art piece.
