Gaining a full time position within the RBSG allowed me to plan and progress my personal development. My job role within the Anti Money Laundering Operations Unit was to investigate individual and business accounts for indications and trends of current/forthcoming money laundering activity. This job is highly subjective and at times challenging to determine the outcome of each investigation. Although the job is challenging daily use/experience of systems brought fast paced working to allow daily targets to be met and time spare to learn new systems and processes which in the long term would allow me to progress up in the business. I feel my potential and determination to succeed has outgrown my current position within the RBSG therefore new experiences and challenges are being sought after.

During my time of employment within the partnership I have gained further training in other elements of the business including; Customer service desk, Cash handling, Stock ordering, Till checkouts, Stock replenishment, Alcohol licensing and Fire risk training.

Graduating from Forrester High School I gained a full time employment opportunity with RBS, where I worked within the Fraud Notifications; an inbound call department. This job was telephony based, dealing with high volumes of customer enquiries and complaints about fraudulent transactions they had on their accounts. An excellent telephone manner was needed for this role, not only being polite, calm and well spoken to ensure you gained the customers trust and full concentration. This job involved using several computer based programs concurrently to accurately record and process customer fraud. A large knowledge base was needed for this job to be able to efficiently deal with customer queries, ranging from Point of Sale to Bankers Draft fraud.
