I have work experience in development project planning, implementation, management, monitoring, assessment, evaluation, project proposal writing and drafting business plans, report writing and compiling publications, grant making and management, networking, partnership development and management, developing, facilitating and organisational representation.

My experience is at operational, management and governance levels in and with local, international NGOs, NPO, local, international funding agencies, corporate social investments, local authorities, sector education and training authorities, section 5 institutions, provincial and national government agencies. These have been in areas of human, children's rights, HIV/AIDS, orphaned and vulnerable children, communications departments of organisations, arts and culture, natural resource management, water and sanitation.

Work History


Population Council

Conducted assessment and produced report for Population Council for partnership funding of migrant, refugees and asylum seeker organizations working on
socio economic rights challenges faced by these groups in inner city Joburg.
Conducted needs assessment, drafted business plan, monitored implementation of income generating project for OVC project in Alexandra township sponsored by the Palace Group.
Currently facilitating value adding national/international partnerships for OVC
project and its support systems in Alexandra township i.e. counselling skills and HIV
training of educators and child minders in partnership with Global Initiative on
Psychiatry (Netherlands); therapy, life skills, recreation, talent and career exposure through art and drama project with Ubuntu Theatre Organisation (Netherlands),
mentorship and exposure to theatre and acting through Sasani Studios, Market
Theatre, Joburg Theatre, Drama for Life-WITS University, International Association of
Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ); psychosocial research, counselling
support through WITS University.

Initiated/managed a holistic service provision model on HIV/AIDS and orphaned and vulnerable children, established and registered an NGO as lead agency on the model in Alexandra township sponsored by Investec Bank. i.e. framework provides psycho
social, nutrition, education, life skills, recreational support, occasional personal
items through partnerships with Departments of Social Development, Health,
Education and City of Joburg.

Mpumalanga Province

3.8 2005/2006 Drafted advertorial for Parliamentary publication celebrating 10 years of democracy.
Evaluated and drafted report on HIV/AIDS project for 17 Advice Offices in
Mpumalanga Province sponsored by the Education, Training and Development
Practices SETA.
Evaluated and drafted report on HIV/AIDS project in Themba and Hammanskraal,
Gauteng Province sponsored by Centre for AIDS University of Pretoria.
