• Part of a financial team consisting of a staff complement of 12 working on equal levels of development.
Responsibilities
• Reporting to the IT Manager.
• Investigating EFT problems.
• Sending funds to First National Bank via FTP process. Managing the reconciliation volumes and amounts transferred.
• Finding and solving problems quickly and effectively in order for daily online to continue. This included reconciling number of products per Department per company.
• Investigating problems on daily batch FTP reports.
• Establishing whether the problem occurred during mainframe processing or during FTP process. If it was on the mainframe, close co-operation between the users, product specialists and fellow technical colleagues were called upon to quickly and efficiently establish the problem(s), test the required changes outside the batch window to prevent the daily online from being held back.
Achievements
• Successfully accomplished conversion of 3 major Agent commission reports from paper to XLS output before the deadline.
• Team Award - Personal Business and NTA Projects (1997).
• Performance Award - Personal Business Project (2007).
