I research historical shipwrecks, nautical archaeology and as well science diving, I am a member of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences, as a science diver, and a member of the Institute of Maritime History, (nautical archaeology) in study wrecks we learn as to the impacts and the pro and con relationships of wreck sites as well gather a window into the world of seafaring in times before us. Currently I am involved in research three ships of an ill fated expedition that went to the Gulf of California to dive for pearls. One ship disappeared into history in what is now the Salton Sea Basin, now a desert, the other sank in the Sea of Cortez, Gulf of California. The third returned to Acapulco and was sold and has never been seen since. Additionally I am researching what could possibly have been a native boat, lost in the Salton Sea Area, and may date back some 1000+ years. I love my work and as well the oceanographic processes which have occurred in the area north of the Sea of cortez.
