Cleaning accommodation, reception duty, scheduling of cleaning, booking charts, providing and updating local information, health and safety monitoring in relation to accommodation and site, selling of excursions, liaison with site staff, showing customer to accommodation, visits, minor repairs, customer service, training and support of other couriers. I have just completed my third season where I was very fortunate to be able to take a jump in progression to a senior courier, where I was in charge of a team of six couriers and the running of the site. From this I have built and developed many new skills and was very successful in this role and is very much ready for a new challenge.
From this role I have gained a wide range of experience about self-organisation and supporting others in their role: making sure all equipment is organised/prepared, working to stringent time deadlines, supporting the wider team, being flexible and adaptable at responding to unexpected demands/difficulties, planning and organising of the staff, taking full responsibility for the running of the site, and many more. That good communication with customers is key - being welcoming and polite at all times (a good impression from the very start with every customer ensures that any problems can be resolved much more easily). To be committed and available at all times (whether on duty or not).
