Doran - Screenwriter - Manchester, England, UK

Lawrie Doran

Manchester, England, UK

Screenwriter based in London currently developing my own slate of feature and TV projects - mainly character-driven drama or comedy, occasionally both.

Alongside my own projects I am also interested in script development. I have a solid grounding in what sells a film from three years as Research Manager for a social media market research company, specialising in the movie industry. This is coupled with a top academic background which means I believe I can offer a strong combination of analytical skills and business experience (and obviously an avid love of film!)

Since graduating with distinction from the London Film School's MA Screenwriting programme five months ago I've worked as script consultant on upcoming feature film Last Summer and have script edited half a dozen produced graduation films from MA filmmaking students. I've also had experience producing script reports for fellow screenwriters as well as tuition on coverage from Alexandra Stone (CMP Film) and Jon Gilbert (Industrial Scripts).
