I was born on March 9th 1960 in Birmingham, England. My parents returned to Barbados when I was 1 year old and I received both my Primary and Secondary education in Barbados. I started playing tennis in 1992 after playing cricket at school and club level. I returned to England in 1994. I did my first qualification and started coaching in 2002. I coached in England for 10 years. I worked in an inner-city area in Birmingham where I was the Head Coach at a nor for profit community club. I made a great impact there with the children and young people and coached children who won team tournaments against more established clubs. Some of the children also won tournaments from under 10 through to under 14. I also coached adults and juniors at an indoor tennis center. I ran holiday successful camps for children there as well and coached at schools.
I am passionate about helping children and young people's development through tennis.

I organised and ran tennis programmes in the community. I also collated the data of the participants and stored it on a computer system. I ran after school clubs at schools as well. My focus was to use tennis as a vehicle to help children and young people to be more positive and aim to achieve in their endeavours.
