Working on a new build project on an old Brownfield contaminated land area for the construction of aircraft hanger and support buildings for the RAF totalling 38million.
Job role- To manage and supervise the decontamination and bioremediation of the land which was heavily contaminated with aviation fuel, supervision of piling works and engineering checks work for the building substructure.
Running a team of engineers throughout the job to do all the quality checks and maintain waste streams, segregation, Health and Safety of the site, quality assurance of the building and dealing with the client (doing weekly reports) and submitting to the architect any detail changes, material changes.
Involved dealing with the EA on waste segregation and trialling a new pilot scheme for zero tolerance on the separation of waste and following waste from source to tip as a check up.
Effective problem solving using the individual teams talents and skills and using them to best manage the project and to best involve the individual in a way which will be of mutual benefit to the project and themselves
Management of crane lifts on site as a qualified crane coordinator.
Managing the snagging and the handover process which was completed slightly early and well within budget.
