Began directing theater and comedy skits, dabbed into improv, kept up with writing and studying acting to arm up with more tools to bring life to characters in motion picture. My directing work has been at film festivals.
Aside from directing films I have also directed TV shows, music videos, instructional videos, marketing advertising content.
Filmmaking is the one art where multiple different talents and traits can contribute to create one final product.

El Paletero was a collaborative effort to produce a short film in 24 hours for the Dallas 24 Hour Video Race of 2009. The team consisted of 1 news producer, 2 new photojournalists, 1 creative production department mind and 1 independent director and producer. Putting together a great blend of background and experience, the film won 1st place in its division and will be screened at the Dallas Video Festival in November of 2009.

I hit the ground running after joining the festival four months prior to it's inaugural year. For being a 1 day film festival put on by 4 young professionals, it was a success. Held at the Movie Tavern of Denton, providing an avenue to the up and coming filmmaker.

A group of austrian filmmakers arrived to Brownsville Texas the same day that I arrived in search of work after receiving my bachelor's diploma. I was selected to join the crew & helped extensively gaining tremendous hands on experience in producing a film in South Texas. The producer and I worked closely with the film commission. Some days I was more of an assistant director, other days a field producer, but nevertheless being the over-achiever I am, I strived to meet goals and creatively solve challenging situations. It was a small crew with a small budget, little to no time, and over 100 pages of script to shoot in a foreign land. I knew the area and resources well, so I was a syndicate of the project. Script supervising, local crew scheduling, casting, set design, location scouting, grip, catering, assistant director, and field producer.

News reports, and yellow journalism isn’t the only way the war on drugs has left a mark in the border town of Brownsville, Texas. On a typical sunny day, GERMAN takes care of yard work, and listens to one of the few talk radio stations in the Rio Grande Valley. His two sons, CHECO and LUISIN attempt to outrun their enemy. In an attempt to deliver the ransom money for GERMAN'S young niece, who is held hostage, the boys turn the city into their playground. Meanwhile, over the radio waves we hear the frustration of a city and GERMAN remains lured into the media. Will he see what is happening in his own backyard?
