Hi, my name is Laura. I'm 23, will graduate with an Msci in Zoology in summer 2013 and I'm looking for a full time job in the science sector, or in promotions, or a related graduate training programe to join once I leave university next year.
I have worked a number of part time jobs including being an ambassador for various companies, running a bar, being a leaf letter and volunteering in a tiger sanctuarty and african wildlife park.
I took my placement at Blair Drummond Safari Park where I was in charge of the dietary accounts, which helped the park apply for their zoo permit.
I am very career motivated and forward thinking, with a passion for talking to people and keeping lists to ensure I'm organised. I have a flexible schedule and have been driving for 4 years. It has been remarked by previous managers that I am very articulate, knowledgable and a dedicated employee.
CV's and references available on request.
I have been emplyed as a Brand Ambassador and represented many companies in various promotional capacities, including branded products such as MAOAM, Pringles, Race for Life, Tropic Skincare, Milkround and George at ASDA.
I really enjoy engaging with and educating the public about the products I'm representing, and take the time to learn as much as possible about the brand so I can answer customer queries. I have been able to work individually, as well as part of a group and have been commended for my attention to detail, articulation, dedication to the job and outgoing engaging personality.
From June 2012
I worked 2 promotions, one in Bishopbriggs and the other at Braehead Shopping Mall in Renfrew.
Brand Ambassador for MAOAM, Tropic Skincare, Milkround
I represented MAOAM on 2 seperate occassions, both in their Megatown and Megavend promotions. I handed out free samples of confectionary and answered the publics questions about the brand. I was trusted to host the megavend stage whilst my manager was on his lunch break and allowed to help make up the gift bags in the back to distribute to the public.
For Tropic Skincare, I demonstrated the products with intent on selling to the public, as well as educating them about the brand and I achieved my target twice in 3 working days.
Working as a representative for Milkround, I promoted the website to encourage students to sign up and help them find jobs within their graduate fields. This involved talking to individuals, groups and using your initiative to reach targets of 150 signatures, which I achieved in one day.
