customer serivce / sales agent
From March 2009
I started off as a level one agent with very little task to manage.
Answering general queries and providing infornation about the company and customers accounts.
Throughout my time here I have gained much knowledge and insight to the travel industry. I have learnt many new skills and techniques with dealing with customers and liaising with other departments and companies within our industry.
I have become an abled user of such software as Amadaeus, Elgar and of course our in-house reservation system. I have developed my skills as a sales agent which currently I am putting into practise on a temporary 4 month role with a bonus scheme in pplace for hitting targets. I find the role demanding, sometimes stressful and challenging, however I cannot imagine the day when I would be happy to leave.
November 2003 - July 2005
Whilst studying I worked over 30 hours a week at McDonalds.
I gained many valuable skills and insight to the importance of customer service and team work.
My role was physically challenging as the majority of my shifts were evenings through to mid mornings.
Best way to describe it was like spring cleaning your house every night of the week!
Getting the kitchen, front of house and throughout the whole building sqeeky clean before the doors opened once again the next morning.
Mcdonalds really is a 24 hour business.
