i've been in a travel agency for more than 2 years and handling an accounting assistant position is easy. i handled accounts receivable, refunds, payable and invoices of the company. i have been doing as well the production/income/sales report for the 6 months in the said position. after that i have been promoted to another department - documentation and visa services department.
below are my tasks/responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
a. Documentation Officer
ü• Understand and study how each embassies process visa and on what grounds shall
be applied to the applicants if in case there is for processing a visa
ü• Update all the requirements needed by the embassy via surfing the internet and reading articles on ads, television and other sources
ü• Maintaining the sales report under Documentation and Visa Department
ü• In - charge of the cash advance for approval on visa processing
ü• In-charge in making the Purchase Order to supplier under Documentation and Visa
Services Department as well as the Purchase Order to be signed by client
ü• Prepares all the necessary requirements to be processed by the liaison officer
ü• Passport application processing which includes online appointment system with DFA
ü• Visa Extension Processing
ü• Handles all online application with the embassy
ü• Coordinates with clients regarding their service request and if there are other
documents required by the embassy after lodging the application
ü• Handles as well the schedule of delivery of documents such as passport, visas, birth
certificates, marriage certificates, bank certificates, corporate client documents
ü• Communicates with corporate/walk-in clients on their queries about visas
ü• Accountable for any delay in the delivery of the passports
b. Marketing Officer
ü• Marketing the Services offered by the Documentation and Visa Services Department as well as the Sales Department such as ticket issuance, passporting, tourist visa
extensions, working visas of foreign nationals in the Philippines, Embassy Visas
(Japan Visa, China Visa, Korea Visa, Schengen Visa, etc.). This includes as well a
company visit to those that requires our assistance as travel agents.
ü• Analyze quotation to be provided to prospective clients which includes taking into consideration all other expenses in that particular processing such as transportation,
representation given to the local agency/ies, notarization,...
