Ensure the safety, security and comfort of all guests, Colleagues and property in and around the Hotel. Implementing safety and security policies in accordance with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) standards Promoting the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of IHG’s brand ethos. Monitor installed safety devices continuously for emergency readiness. Handle, investigate and report all claims regarding theft, accidents, injury, property damage, vandalism and trespassing from guests, visitors or Hotel personnel with the assistance of local police if necessary. Handle all tasks with tact, diplomacy, appropriate discretion and efficiency. Monitor and control movement of colleagues leaving or entering the Hotel. Conduct colleague baggage and locker checks. Record and control the issue of hard and electronic keys. Security patrols of Hotel and perimeter. Liaise with South Australian and Australian Federal Police as required. Provide cash escort from Hotel outlets and Casino. Maintain a close rapport with duty managers and emergency services. Carry out after hour’s maintenance as required for Hotel infrastructure, data and telecommunications. Provide detailed protection and escort for VIPs and dignitaries. Programming and replacement of electronic keys. Supervision of contractors on Hotel premises. Routine audits of Hotel safety infrastructure such as Fire Indicator Panel, fire hose reels and extinguishers, sprinkler systems and emergency exits. An active member of the Hotel’s Responsible Business Committee. Monitor CCTV surveillance. Senior First Aid Officer.
