Painting And Decorating
I worked as a carpenters mate in my early 20's. this involved restoring windows on an A listed building. stripping, sanding, filling, priming, glasing then priming and painting. we sanded a London house fl;oor using industrial sanders and varnished.
over the past 10 yrs I have completely re decorated my mums house involving, stripping skirtings, putting up wall paper, laying laminate flooring, hanging doors, fitting locks, landscaping and gardening, fitting a kitcken.
I have spent the past 5 years fitting out a canal boat from just the hull to insulated, lined, and installing walls, kitchens and bathroom. scaled planning and draughting of build to mention a few!

Working for Elior, one of the leading contract caterers in the world, my role is to prepare the junior and sergeants mess dining areas ready for breakfast, lunch and dinner services. During food services I simultaneously run a counter/ self service for the junior's and a separate waitressing/ table service for the sergeants. Between services I work to keep the mess fully stocked and to maintain food hygiene, health and safety standards and company policy. I work as part of a team in delivering a warm, friendly and genuine service to our customers.
This is a part time position, aimed at gaining further experience in a larger more corporate hospitality and catering industry, whilst developing my supervisory skills.

This garden centre cafe caters to a vast variety of customer groups and strives to promote fresh quality produce sourced as locally as possible, if not from its own site grown fruit, vegetables and pork.
As front of house manager it was my responsibility to promote these values of fresh produce, freshly cooked and served with care and pride in what we did. I was responsible for all front of house staff training; from health and safety, food hygiene and fire safety procedures, to customer care, product knowledge and barista skills. I monitor the daily running of the café ensuring all equipment and team members worked efficiently, I held team briefings and meetings. I was also responsible for the stock ordering and taking of my area and I collaborate with the cafe manager, who was the head chef, when researching new suppliers and stock, staff disciplinary, one to one performance reviews and rotas. Above all else I was responsible for inspiring the team and making them strive to perfect their own individual customer service a well as their group performance. When the chef left I carried on as acting café manager and took responsibility for running the kitchen and cooking.
