influence of stiffness and cell seeding density
we all knew that substrate stiffness influences the cell adhesion, spreading, migration and differentiation to an extent. And most of the scientists are interested in looking at the very initial time periods of cell culture. I had looked into long time cultures and found out that after some days of culture (when multi layered tissue was formed) substrate stiffness doesn't play any influence on tissue growth. From then on only geometry influences the tissue formation rate. The same happens at high cell seeding density means at high concentrations cells form multi layers at the time of seeding and further growth on different stiffness materials is the same.
