• Assessed the advocacy capacity of the strategic partners (National Farmers’ Group Federation (NFGF), Community Self Reliant Centre (CSRC) and National Network on Right to Food (RtFN)) and supported them in developing advocacy capacity development plan.
• Built the advocacy capacity of the three strategic partners NFGF, CSRC and RtFN (board and staff) through training (advocacy ToT) and supported them in developing advocacy/joint advocacy plan.
• Provided strategic support in advocating right to food as fundamental right in the constitution.
• Supported Right to Food Network in the protest campaign against Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) that MONSANTO company (US based Seed Company) wanted to introduce/promote in Nepal. The campaign has been able to draw the attention of the Media and the advocates. The case filed in the court and the court issued an order “not to introduce GMO seeds until final decision”.
• Actively involved in Partner’s Capacity Assessment and supported in developing capacity development plan.
• Built capacity of partners in outcome mapping focussing on – Expect to see, Like to see and Love to see where Representation and Inclusion, Legitimacy, Transparency and Synergy have been the areas to mark the progress.

Major Achievements:
• Trained project and partner and staffs being placed in one of the strategic partners (Bagmati Welfare Society, Sarlahi) in Underlying Causes of Poverty Analysis (UCPA) and supported them to carry out UCPA in 50 Village Development Committees (VDCs) of Sarlahi, Mahottari and Dhanusha districts of Nepal. • Participated a learning visit programme jointly organised by CARE Nepal and CARE Bangladesh from 6 to 10 October 2009 in Rangpur sub-district of Bangladesh. Objective of the review was to learn from the practical experiences of CARE Bangladesh and build confidence in the area of Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS).
