I have a NVQ3 in childcare and education I trained for in college over two-year period. I have had work experience in day nurseries and school settings throughout this time.

Work History

Chamber maid

Premier Inn

June 2008 - September 2008

Marina. During that time I worked on my own, as well as in a team to ensure all my duties were carried out efficiently and to a high standard. My duties included changing bedding, supplying clean bedding and towels in each room, cleaning bathrooms, hovering, dusting and filling up the condiments in each room etc. I thrived on the challenge of working to a strict time scale, as I enjoyed the fast paced and constant pressure to ensure all my duties were completed to a high quality.

I work part time as a Healthcare Assistant

From September 2008

at a Nursery Home in Hartlepool. Throughout my time here I have gained qualifications in Health and Social Care Level 3, and have thrived on the constant work load that is very strenuous, but fulfilling. I have worked on my own, using my own initiative and as part of a team in the daily care and welfare of the people who I care for. I am responsible for the daily hygiene and dressing needs of my clients, as well as serving them their meals and ensuring their bedrooms and communal areas were tidy and clean. I multitask caring for my clients to the best standard I am able to give them, as well as making sure the paperwork I must complete daily is up to date and correct, as efficiency plays a large part in the daily duties I am assigned. I am daily interacting with family members and other medical professionals, as there are a lot of people that visit the nursing home, for various reasons. So it is my job to ensure all visitors are welcomed, and assisted in whatever they ask in a professional and happy manner.

Pub Cleaner

July 2007 - June 2008

I worked as a part time cleaner, in a village pub on my own. I was responsible for collecting all the cleaning materials I would need from the cleaning cupboard, and would plan my time so that I could thoroughly clean each area of the pub to a high standard, which included, cleaning and bleaching toilet areas, washing and polishing the bar, hovering, mopping, dusting, washing communal areas and setting the pub up for the customers.
