Kirsty Arkell

Nottingham, England, UK

I am an English undergraduate at Nottingham Trent University seeking part time employment. I consider myself a committed person who is punctual and handles responsibility well and I pride myself on meeting the needs of customers and the business. I am able to deal with inquires efficiently whilst being polite and helpful, this is a skill I developed whilst being in the position of Senior Sales at Greggs. I am willing to take on board constructive criticism and training to improve my performance and the performance of the company that I am representing. I enjoy socializing and meeting new people, which allows me to develop good communication skills with a range of different people. I would say that my weakness is that hate failure. I would thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to develop my skills further and to work within your company

Work History

senior sales

June 2011 - July 2012

My most recent position as a member of the Greggs team involved serving customers at a quick pace whilst providing excellent customer service, delivering a high quality product. Working at Greggs developed my communication skills even more by going the extra mile to help less able customers. Furthermore, I dealt efficiently with complaints and specialist inquiries to resolve any situation that was presented to me to achieve the best outcome for the customer and company. I developed skills in sandwich making, basic food safety, the procedure of cooking savories and the day to day tasks such as the maintenance and cleanliness of the workplace. I also took the opportunity at extra training by taking on the role as Senior sales. Senior sales which involved taking on supervising responsibilities This training provided me with the skills to run the shop without a manager present. From this role I gained a more managerial understanding of how a shop runs on a day to day basis. For example; organizing rotas/change, cashing up of the tills/till lifts, stock checks and ordering, managing staff and dealing with quires from other shops etc.
