Menstrual Cup Uganda

Menstrual Cup Uganda was initiated in 2013 by Malin Karlsson and Maria
Johansson from Sweden..
The project was initiated after a study that proved that there are difficulties concerning menstruation that some girls/women in Uganda are facing.
Objectives;
• To improve and increase menstrual hygiene and management in marginalized, school going and various groups of girls/women.
• To help through sensitization in making and increasing appreciation/acceptance of every child/girl child body changes and stages in all types of society settings.
• To help a girl child attain education without worry of menstruation.
• To preserve the environment since there is no frequent disposal due to the fact that menstrual cups can be used for a period of ten (10) year if used correctly and properly.
• To address health issues that arise as a result of poor menstrual management.
• To increase awareness of individual Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
• To reduce stigmatization and discrimination that result from menstruation/body changes which in due process is an impediment to access of potentially available care, information and restricts community’s ability to respond positively towards every girl/female being.
• To promote gender equality.
• To help in increasing individual savings since the menstrual cups last longer.

En framtid Fri från prostitution-A Future Free From Prostitution

Aiming at improving the general welfare of communities by eradicating diseases, providing health education, improving public and personal hygiene, improving household income and providing fully paid education and school requirements to the children that come from the very poor families and those that have their lives at risk as a result of prostitution.


OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the project are:-
• To increase awareness of individual Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.
• To establish and promote activities of an organisation that operationalizes Rights and Information services appropriate for marginalised groups
• Creating a future free from prostitution through education
• To mobilize members, orient them and generate common understanding.
• To raise the living standards of the people in the identified villages and communities through skills development.
• To initiate and engage in health education awareness programmes and campaigns through talent and supportive skill development.
• To reduce stigma and discrimination among marginalized communities through non-discriminative sportive and talent initiatives.
• To reduce prejudice leading to stigmatisation and discrimination that impedes access to potentially available care and restricts community’s ability to respond positively.
• Fundraising and helping children from poor homes to attain education.
