All work, quality, procedures and disciplines carried out to high standard. Any targets and works orders were achieved, finished product was that of an high standard.

My role as welder at Cascade Kenhar entails working as part of a team working from Work Orders and drawings for the production of forks and attachments, using MIG (Lloyd's EN 287-1:2004). All weld procedures (strictly) adhered too, as well as all workshop H & S discipline's.

During this period I was responsible for the production of bespoke HGV chassis, reading and working from drawings, measuring and marking out alignment and square. Cutting, preparation and all positional welding using MIG with various applications such as Dip, Globular and Spray Transfer. Enforcing a good clean safe working environment for myself and others, working with or around me. Use overhead cranes was essential for this work and all health and safety regulations as well as all workshop procedures were adhered to and carried out to very high standards.

This required working on various projects for the Ministry of Defence working with platers to fabricate and weld mild steel plates ranging from various sizes. Use of bare wire and flux core MIG were required, done to x-ray standards. All of the work was carried out meet Royal Sun Alliance requirements and inspections.

My duties entailed working onsite doing installation of pipelines for gas, oil, food and dairy production to ASME IX standards, working alongside Pipe Fitters. Team work communication and co-ordination were of paramount importance and assistance with all aspects of the installation process were required, plus mechanical fitting to fire safety regulations involving hot work permits and area segregation. I was privileged to work for such blue chip companies as: SNAM Petroleum, British Gas (Transco), BAE (British Aeronautical Engineering) and Rolls Royce.

During this period I worked as a Metal Smith within the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (REME) Corp and achieved a qualification as a Metal Smith. This involved being a Farrier (shoeing horses), Blacksmith and doing repairs to aluminium and Chobam Armour. During my time in the army I took the opportunity to train for my P.T.I (Physical Training Instructor) and also represented the REME boxing team.
