Bridge of Allan, Scotland, UK

We are a family business which has been built to exceed expectations and commit to every customers needs regardless of job costs. Our priorities are to get a recommendation from every job and grow the business which will help us to improve by training for new areas of our profession e.g. marble effects, graining, gold leaf etc. This will enable us to offer more to our customer which is the main reason. If new customers are unsure after reading this then ask around or contact us for more information about us and why we are better than other decorators.

Work History

K Park Painters & Decorators Ltd

Victorian property renovation at Logie Coldstone

We were delighted to be involved in this amazing renovation which lasted over six months. We are still a small decorating company but had lots of desire to impress and meet the demands of the customer. This meant handling such a large project while keeping up with our existing jobs at home, which was a mighty task. The character in this building had to be retained while stripping everything back to the shell. This entailed removing all existing coatings from timber doors, facings, window shutters, ceilings, walls and cornice. This type of job was not desired by any of our tradesmen (including myself) nor was it a quick process. We found ourselves completed this first stage after 11 solid weeks before lifting a single brush. This was followed by more preparation to ceilings, walls and cornice as the condition of the surfaces were not up to standard for painting. Almost all rooms had to be filled thoroughly on all areas to obtain a high quality finish with the exception of minor imperfections, as the customer required to leave some existing character to the house. All ceilings, walls and cornice had to be coated using traditional brush methods to obtain a natural finish which would have been the same when the house was first built. All timber work had been coated again by brush only, although the colours chosen were light colours to compliment the colour choices in each room. Even the timber corner beads had been picked out with the woodwork colour to add extra features to the house. With a few decision changes and a lot of coordinating from architects, site managers, quantity surveyors and various other trades I must admit this was one of the most well run jobs we have worked on. I will post the before and after photos soon and welcome any comments on this.

Many thanks
