I am a born again Spirit filled Christian who is looking for opportunities to write for a Christian magazine or a similar publication. I specialize in poetry, song lyrics, articles, and Bible studies, but can do nearly any form of non-fiction writing; and I can work within any page number or word count needed. I tend to avoid subjects related to math and science, especially ones that are highly technical in nature. I have recently returned to my church newsletter. My article "Holiness Sanctified in Righteousness" was just published in my church newsletter. I favor companies that allow me to prove myself because it shows that they are looking for the most qualified candidates. I also favor ones with a strong prophetic emphasis because they are in tune with The Holy Spirit, when it is a true prophetic voice. Examples are Charisma Magazine and Zion's Fire. I recently submitted my first article and query letter to Charisma, who requires that they print several of your articles before they assign you articles. It's too soon to know the results of this one. I'm praying for God to give me something to submit to Zion's Fire. I'm working on one for The Good News Times that I'm not yet comfortable submitting. As I'm receiving the articles from the Lord, He's telling me where to submit them if I'm already familiar with the magazine. If I'm not familiar with the magazine, He simply says, "Hold onto it." I'm open to suggestions of other magazines within my line. A sample of my writings is avaiable upon request. I live in Delray Beach, FL; but am looking to eventually move to Boca Raton, FL. However, I will accept employment from any company that is within Palm Beach County, FL or willing to give me online assignments.
About My Showcase
I've provided here a sampling of poetry, song lyrics, and articles that I've written within the last year to year and a half. The articles have been written within the last couple of months or so. "Pruned, Processed, and Restored" is my personal testimony of what God has done in me during my four year medical leave from my school that I have been medically cleared to return to by my doctors, and am returning to soon. It was written and submitted to the editor of the school newspaper that I was writing for during my last semester on campus and that I will be writing for when I return. (Arrangements have already been made.) It is written so that it will be timely upon my return. The editor has submitted it to her supervisors for approval in hopes that it will be approved for publishing when I return. I did not include the article that I have just submitted to my church newsletter because members of my church are friends of mine in facebook; and I do not want to spoil the surprise by having them see my article before it is printed.
