As part of a small team we focused on Migrating 1,487 users from Domino Server/Lotus Notes 8.5.3 to Exchange/ Outlook 2013. During our migration process we utilized: Quest (NME) Notes to Exchange Migrator, Quest (QMM) Quest Migration Manager, (QCM) Quest Co-Existence Manager, and SCCM 2007 for Machine Management, and Software Deployment for users, to create customer Office launcher, and Active Directory played a major role where Lotus Notes user's contact information and user object needed to match before Provisioning with Quest/NME or access would be denial to Outlook internally and externally. We utilized: (OCM) MS/Office 2013 Package Manager Tool, to create an Office custom package to be deployed, as well as push Office 365 Applications to multiple remote Lenovo laptops. MDM support for: iPads, iPhones, Android phones and tablets. Cisco's Meraki handled the MDM Deploys, and we pre-testing each device to assure the correct profiles and certificates were push remotely to each device. In addition we manually installed an Office 2013 installer should a remote deployment fail to start on its own. My partner and I was assigned (1 of 3) HP ProLiant DL360e Blade Servers for the migrations process allowing greater speed and dual migration could take place. A 3rd on-Premise Server was running Quest's Co-Existence Manager which we did not touch. Our migration process included migrating: e-mail data, calendars, and conference room extensions. Our initial migration was broken-down by: phase, time, location, and group. We began this migration by starting with a Pilot Group then moved onto the Security Group, Departmental Groups, and Executive Groups. At Toshiba, success was attributed to due to their great preparation and planning which minimized the impact to their users.

I was deployed as a Technical Lead Consultant migrating 300 users for this assignment at Dell Systems. At Experian I also imaged, migrated, and deployed desktops and laptop with Windows 7 mostly Lenovo Business laptops. As part of 30 contractors we used external hard-dives as the deployment method containing the Windows 7. SCCM 2012 performed the task sequence and deployed the operating system to each user's computer. Other important task included capturing user's state via USMT and running MDT 2010 Tools to deploy image created on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012. Experian also received

but required Office 365 application set ups like Outlook .PST file restores and or OWA user setup, tested, and training, as well as installing Experian's proprietary financial software.
Dell/Quest Optimized Deployment Tools largely handled the process of "In-Place Migrations", "Data Transfer Migrations" and "Bare Bone Upgrades" using a Zero Touch "ZTI" task sequence deployment. Due to the sensitivity nature of data migrated we exercised extreme care to not damage any user data. Other common issues experienced were Symantec Endpoint Encryption accidentally encryption of external drives but easy to fix. Communication amongst 30 contractors at times was difficult, along with explaining issues in simple terms for Managers, Supervisors, and External Staff was a challenge at times. Active Directory played a major part in moving computers unlocking user accounts, and moving Windows 7 computers to the correct OU. This project took 6 weeks due to complete thanks to Microsoft SCCM 2007 to build the images to be received by the client computer and upgrade to Windows 7. Office 2010 Professional was included as [art of the initial image but required for reconfiguring Outlook 2010 and OWA to be setup and tested for each user. We supported 100% computer: DELL 745, 755, 960, 980, and 990's. SCCM did experienced minimal problems but most of time was resolved by reimaging the problem hard-drive. Post support and break-fix after user was migrated to Windows 7 was done as needed. We handled a variety of issues as they came up and successfully accomplished task as expected by I.T.
