Working in the Fabrication Department from sketches, verbal instructions or technical drawings to produce base frames and containers for generators of all sizes, many of these items are of a bespoke nature which requires redesigning components to ensure a quality product is produced. Cutting, bending, tacking, are all part of the daily routine, as is stripping down, repairing and modernising Generator housing and exhaust systems on items that are used for sale and hire. Welding fuel tanks of varying sizes and pressure testing them Liaising and working with management and other members of the workforce to produce quality goods, often to strict time schedules.

The factory was responsible for the manufacture of bespoke aluminium tipper bodies for the construction trade.
Responsible for the day to day smooth running of the shop floor, ordering of the relevant materials, conversing with suppliers and customers to ensure that completion dates were achieved. Liaising with customers in regards to incoming repairs and specific requirements on vehicles in production. Completion of monthly stock takes to ensure a smooth turnover of materials. Preparing a detailed planning schedule for the work in progress, to enable deadlines to be met. Ensuring that all staff had adequate materials for the specific task in hand.. Maintaining staffing levels on the shop floor, Responsible for the efficiency of production in the absence of the Managing Director.
