I can grasp concepts fast, I am eager to learn more and expend my knowledge, I am enthusiastic about HR and how it functions in the organisation. I am willing to go beyond what is required of me as I am very passionate of what I do.

I was employed at Impala Platinum Refineries for a total of seven months as a Vacation Student in the Human Resources Department at Impala Platinum Refineries in Springs during the period of November 2010 to March 2012. During those employment periods I was exposed to most aspects of the operation including recruitment, screening CVs for the necessary qualifications, booking medicals for applicants, entering applications on the system, minute taking, weekly and monthly report preparation, function organising, placing of orders and training on SAP etc.

My employment experience at Impala Platinum, combined with my broad education in both Human Resource and Marketing means that I will be well suited to fulfil the requirements of any position.

I have proven that I can grasp concepts very quickly; I am also career orientated and I am confident that I will not only adapt to a new working environment quickly but will be a great asset to any company that employs me.

•For the duration of my employment at Impala Platinum I was acting secretary (manning the reception area, answering incoming calls , doing the weekly report and other general admin duties).
•Interviewing prospective candidates for Electrical Learnership.
•Entering prospective candidates on SAP – obtaining applicant number, medical letter, rejecting applicants on the system.
•Called candidates for polygraph testing, medicals and interviews.
•Took minutes during NUM and Management meetings
•Screening of CVs for vacant positions
•Observed a case at the CCMA with the Industrial Relations Manager and Human Resource Officer.

While I was at employed at Impala Platinum I received exposure in recruitment (for example sign-ons, screening of CVs etc), had the opportunity to familiarizes myself with the SAP system, weekly and monthly preparation etc.

•I helped organise AIDS DAY Function including arranging the hire of 200 additional chairs for the day.
•I helped organise a schools recycling project where I was required to phone the selected schools, obtain the principals name, telephone number, the project coordinator of the school and also helped organise refreshments for the launch.
•Took minutes for the Batho Pele (Corporate Social Investment Department) meetings after the AIDS day Function, as well as taking minutes for the school recycling project meetings before and during the launch day.
•Acted as secretary when the HR secretary went on leave and helped with the monthly and weekly reports, for example typing out engagements and promotions for the period, or making any necessary arrangements.
•Sorted, rearranged and re filed all the company disciplinary files following a move in premises.
•Observed and conducted interviews for positions that needed to be filled, (e.g. engineering leaderships and temporary senior process operators).

While I was employed at Impala Platinum I helped organize a schools recycling project (it was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Department), Sorted, rearranged and re filed all the company disciplinary files following a move in premises, conducted and observed interviews for prospective employees etc.
