Work History

Owner Manager

From September 2006

Going into the anticipated recession or 2007-2008, I started this entity expressly to meet a need that we thought would exist for home owners regardless of the real estate and construction markets or the economy.

5,000 jobs later it appears that I was correct.

January 1990 - January 2013

This is our construction company and grew out of our needs with Real Estate Masterminds to be able to renovate 10 to 20 house a month.

We had to be able to quickly do anything the properties might require.

Owner, Manager & Investor

REMM - Real Estate Masterminds

January 1990 - January 2006

This was our real estate investment company described at where we had invested in many hundreds of properties over an extended period of time.

We had set records of up to 49 homes purchased in a single month. We later purchased another 49 properties in a single deal from the bankruptcy court.

We constantly had 15 properties or more under construction.

Senior Marketing Manager

General Development

March 1980 - September 1989

I ran offices in Poughkeepsie, then Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo New York for a very large developer doing over 700 million a year.

Laborer - Skilled Training under a Master Artisan

Kelchner & Sons

January 1966 - January 1976

This was a family business started by my father who was a true Artisan. He was a Master Carpenter, Master Plumber, Master Electrician having worked for 17 years for a home builder in upstate New York.

We had an 8 car garage in the backyard, a complete wood shop, our own welding equipment and my dad could fix anything.

It was great training for a demanding father who insisted that things be done correctly.

Whole House Remodels

Investing in the city of Atlanta we remodeled 100's of little homes.

How About Lighting Up Your Existing Kitchen

This client lives in a high end home on Paces Ferry in Buckhead. What didn't have was the lighting she wanted in her kitchen.

We added under the cabinet LED soft lighting from Enviornmental Lights and sconces on either side of her stove plus a beautiful fixture right above the double sink. We even replaced all of her exterior lights.

All New Electric for This Basement Remodel

This client wanted to build out their entire basement. We had to frame up all of the concrete walls and run new electric to the entire basement. We added circuits for plugs in every room, lights in every ceiling and a special circuit for the new exercise room. We even add a 220 line for the new kitchen.

9 New Can Lights in A Great Room

How about 18 feet in the air doing can lights? This was a unique project, normally you'd find an extended Ceiling Fan and Lights on a remote control.

But this client wanted cans and we were glad to oblige.

Karen got gigged by her HOA so we painted all of her trim.

This is a tall house with an even taller chimney. We had to cut down a tree and repair gutters and then painted every bit of her exterior trim.

The association loves us.

Here is a great finish for 2 Doctors who are our VIPs

These two doctors have hired us 6 or 7 times for various projects. This last time we caulked and painted every piece of siding.

We Regularly Install Garbage Disposals, Faucets etc

Hundreds of times each year we are asked to update a Kitchen or bath with new plumbing fixtures.

Slimberry Store Build Out

We helped build out two complete store fronts to include all of the plumbing, electric, framing and drywall.

Basement Build Out

This project was to build out an entire basement for a client and install electric through out.

Opening Walls

This project opened a dinning room up into their great room. Not only did it include removing a wall and re-framing with a manufactured beam header but we also had to move electric and hvac outlets. Then we had to finish trimming out the walls and completing the drywall repairs.

Assisted Living New Ramps, New Railings & Window Repairs

In Canton Georgia the owner of an Assisted Living Facility was facing an inspection by the state and with 48 hours needed us to add Ramps/Railings at both her front and side doors.

She also had old non-functioning jalousie windows that did not open. With a 48 hour deadline it was impossible to install new windows in non-standard openings. So, we removed her windows from the frames, removed the original hardware and rebuilt them with new hinges.

They passed their inspection with flying colors and are considering having us enclose their carport.

Deck for use as a Zip Line Tower

This was a lot of fun and an excellent challenge. How do you erect a 24 foot tall tower, on the side of a hill, around but not touching, a living swaying tree and do it in a fashion to assure that children will be safe climbing up and down the structure?

We built the structure on 6"x6" pressure treated posts that we deliberately raised and leaned in from a 12'x12' base to a 6'x12' platform cabled on the underside from all four corners around the tree. We used 2"x6"x12' in place of ladders to climb both the front and rear of the tower, where due to the lean we created, your weight is always directly above your feet.

We spaced the 2"x6"x12' deck boards at 1" gaps for use as hand holds as you climb up or down. Every thing is screwed or bolted together. There were no nails used.

Then we also built a much more customary 12'x12' deck behind his house. 16" off the ground it is where we will be building a work shed for him.

Call us to discuss your next project!
